Need to get lots of cards made
I am in the process of making cards to take to an event called The Summer Sizzle. I want to have at least 200 cards made to take along. I am also going to take the current Stampin' Up! catalogs and I am trying to do a brochure to get some interest in workshops, classes or clubs. I have just been signed up as a demonstrator for a month now so any suggestions would be more than welcomed. I am finally getting all of my new Stampin' Up! papers organized and put in files. I absolutely love all of the new paper and ink colors. Can't wait to have more time to do some creating.

My altered book

These were the good old days.
A lot of you are probably too young to remember this. I was born in 1951 which means I just turned 59. Yikes how did that happen. Anyways this was my first sewing machine and it has a very reserved spot in my stamping studio. It is fun to just see it sitting on the shelf. I will never part with it. I think it may still work, wouldn't that be fun to use to sew on a few cards. I am so frustrated this evening. I purchased a couple of watermarks to use on the samples of my cards, also purchased Photo Shop Elements to be able to apply the layer and do you think I can figure it out????? NOT. Guess I will have to research it more. I did receive my order from Stampin' Up! and have been playing with all the papers and inks since it arrived on Monday. I can hardly stand it they are all so beautiful. I have a couple guests coming to see my studio this weekend so that should be fun. Hopefully we will do some rubber stamping too. Pictures of the creations to follow. Any one with any advice on applying watermarks feel free to offer your help. I need it. More later. Happy Creating. Lin

More photos of my room. The cube storage units hold cardstock, photo albums, ribbons, and jars of embellishments. The wall to the left of the work station has all of my retired Stampin' Up! sets and lots of decorative scissors. In front of the window are two tables with chairs on rollers to work at when I am not working at the counter or island. Just put in the laminate flooring so rolling around is a breeze. Love that!!! I do plan on making a video of the room just need to get ready for that. Soon I hope. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY my order is to arrive. YEAH!!!!!

Today I thought I would blog a little about my wonderful studio. The rolling cabinets are from Ikea and house all of my stamps in drawers in categories. The plastic bins that each have three drawers is where I keep my paper scraps. The drawers have a punched out butterfly to designate what color scraps are in each drawer. This all fits under a counter that is at working height and spans one whole wall in the studio. On the counter I have my big shot, cricut, light box and a few other items. Above the counter are all of my punches on rails. The next great area is my Island from Ikea. I love the island. The drawers are deep and I can stay very organized. The island sits right behind my two work tables and my chair is on wheels so I can help myself to whatever I need. The drawers hold tapes, glues, smaller punches, cutting tools, non-Stampin' Up! stamp pads, two drawers full of ribbon, markers, brayers, cutting mats, lots of containers of buttons etc. I love my island, can you tell? LOL. My husband did not love the island when we were putting it together. YIKES. I will post more pictures of the studio tomorrow.

Blogging is addictive!!!!!!
I did it. I figured out how to upload a new backround for my blog and is it ever fun. My mother was a big fan of owls so this is in memory of mom. I have a new Stampin' Up! owl punch that should be here Monday and I can not wait to create some cards with it. How fun will that be. I will be sure to post some pictures of the owl cards.
What a GREAT DAY
Another great day of stamping and working on my blog. What fun. Getting ready for a Summer Sizzle Event at one of our local churches. Plan to bring lots of Stampin' Up! sample cards and catalogs. Would love to even sell some of my creations. Need to locate some sort of tent/awning so I do not cook in the 90 plus degree heat. Any suggestions from anyone would be welcomed. I am planning on going to see the grandbabies this summer also. Can't wait for that. They are growing so fast and it is hard being in Florida with them in Minnesota. Waiting patiently for all my new colors of stamp pads and papers to arrive. Hopefully on Monday it will all arrive complete with ribbons, brads and a few new stamp sets. I am SO EXCITED...

The Fourth of JULY
What a wonderful weekend. We had house guests for four days and my friend and I spent a lot of quality time in the studio creating wonderful cards. Lot's of wonderful food, and conversation and refreshing time in the pool. Weather was rainy so it made studio time even more sweet.
